Yankee Model Works FFG 57 USS Reuben James The Perry Class Frigate's were built for the U.S. Navy during the 1970's to counter the massive buildup of submarines. The Ruben James was featured in the Tom Clancy novel The Hunt for Red October. The Blue Water Navy kit captures the essence of this class in this highly detailed kit. The kit measures 15.5 inches long. The Rueben James is a multimedia kit comprising of a single resin upper hull and a single piece lower hull (allowing the modeler to build a full hull or waterline model). Small parts are cast in fine pewter. A photo-etched brass sheet completes the kit with over 100 parts. This ship makes a fine addition to any 1/350 scale ship collection.
