USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) Model Ship

The USS Blue Ridge was launched on 4 January 1969 and her first commission was on 14 November 1970, at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. From 1971 until 1979, she earned the Meritorious Unit Commendation and Navy Unit Commendation for the evacuation of Saigon in 1975. She is active in service as of 2008. Her home port is Yokosuka, Japan
